SOUNDELEMENT & BEATITUDE PARTY PRESENTS

DJK: MALAYSIA/KL

K has come a long way in establishing himself as a flourishing artist in this genre. Born in 1977, he started DJ-ing 7 years ago. With the support of a handful of friends K began racking up a wealth of experience over the years. It took him less than a year to bless the dance floor with his musical brilliance. Appearing first in small hang out joints and later performing in underground venues. As he progressed as an artist he fell in love with the spell binding substance of bass lines. His influences range from House, Deep House, Techno and Tech House. When on the decks, it’s hard to resist his rhythmic, chunky, up-lifting sounds of techno beats. As he further matures his style in an everlasting quest for perfection, his performances can be seen translated into the enchanted crowds’ brilliant smiles and wall-cracking cheers.
Originally a hardcore clubber, he slowly penetrated into the dance music scene as a Promoter, Event Coordinator and Local & International DJs Booking Agent. Having witnessed most of the rave events in and around Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Thailand, Berlin, London, Ibiza & Miami, his passion to the scene and music grew ever since.
The ingenuity of K does not come without credit to a number of his main influences from all over the globe that include sensations like John Digweed, Danny Howells, Daniel Portman, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Gabriel Ananda, Dubfire, Ilario Alicante, Alex Celler and the local DJs such as Groovedoctor, Victor G, Z-Hazriq and Funk’K. Labels that have motivated him further to master his unique orchestrated sound comprise of Rejected, Soma, Get Physical, Liebe Detail, Sino, Minus, Toolroom, Viva and many more.
K has embellished the decks of many clubs with loyal followers who dig his sounds. He incorporates his originality with some tunes that often regarded by listeners to the likes of Joris Voorn, Renato Cohen and Daniel Portman.
From underground parties to after hours sessions at Barcode, he finally holds a claim to fame in one of the pioneer DJs to spin at one of the most insane parties held in South East Asia; the notorious Full Moon Party on the island of Koh Phangan Thailand that accommodates over 15,000 party-goers each month.
When asked what would be his ultimate dream for now at least, he mentioned spinning side by side with Richie Hawtin, Dubfire and Steve Lawler.
My few latest promo mix.
